If you are a member of a gym, it is very easy to get an effective legs workout because you can use their machines to perform various different exercises, such as the leg press, leg curls and leg extensions, for example.
However even if you are not a member of a gym, it is still possible to get a really good lower body workout that will help build strength in your legs and add muscle and definition to them as well.
To demonstrate this point, Mike Chang has posted a video of his highly effective crazy leg workout online, and the best thing of all is that the only equipment that you will need to perform this workout is a light set of dumbbells. Here’s the workout if you would like to check it out for yourself:
I tried doing this myself earlier on today and I really felt it immediately afterwards because I barely had enough strength to walk down the stairs because my legs were so tired, and I only did 4 rounds out of 8. So it’s clearly an intense and effective exercise routine.
It may only consist of 5 exercises – squats, back lunges, front lunges, explosive jumps and stiff leg deadlifts – but you are supposed to do 10 reps of each one and 8 rounds of these exercises, which is really hard work.
What I like about this routine is that these are all conventional lower body exercises that are all easy to perform. So you should be able to see noticeable increases in both size and strength if you perform this particular routine at least once or twice a week.
Remember that it is very important to work on your legs because it’s no good having huge biceps and bulging pec muscles if you have skinny chicken legs because you will look absolutely ridiculous in the summer when you are wearing a pair of shorts.
