Common Mistakes People Make When Taking Bulking Supplements

Trenorol TabletsIn my last article I discussed some of the mistakes people make when using cutting supplements, so today I thought it would be a good idea to discuss some of the most common mistakes people make when taking bulking supplements for the purposes of gaining weight and building more muscle.

Bulking supplements can be extremely effective, but they can also be a waste of money if you make one or more of the following mistakes when using these products:

Not Consuming Enough Calories

Diet is vitally important when trying to burn fat, but it is also equally important when you are trying to build muscle, and the fact is that many people simply do not eat enough when they are trying to bulk up with supplements.

You need to have a calorie surplus every day in order to grow, regardless of which bulking supplements you take, which means consuming more than 2500 calories if you are male, and consuming more than 2000 calories if you are female.

Eating Junk Food

Whilst it is important that you consume an excess of calories, you shouldn’t do what a lot of people do and eat a lot of junk food because this will only increase your body fat.

So instead of eating pizza, chips and fast food, for example, you should eat four or five meals per day and make sure that you eat plenty of healthy meals, including healthy cuts of meat, fish, nuts and eggs for protein, and eat lots of fruit and vegetables. Supplement shakes can also provide you with an easy way of consuming more calories.

Not Enough Protein

Some of the bulking supplements that you can buy online will give you more strength, power and endurance in the gym to help increase your muscle gains, but many people still fail to achieve the results they are looking for because they are not consuming enough protein.

The truth is that you will see much better results if you include lots of healthy sources of protein in your diet, such as chicken, fish, eggs, nuts and seeds, for instance.

Too Much Cardio

Cardio exercises are very important if you are trying to lose weight, but if you are looking to increase your mass and build new muscle with the help of supplements, they can sometimes hinder your progress.

Therefore it is a good idea to limit your cardio workouts to two or three times a week at the most whilst you are on your bulking cycle, just to maintain your fitness level.

No Cardio At All

Following on from the last point, it is also a mistake not to do any cardio work at all because whilst this will make it easier to gain weight and increase muscle growth, it may result in more fat gains and leave you feeling unfit and out of shape.

Subsequently when you do your strength training in the gym, you may not be able to push yourself as much as you would like because you don’t have as much stamina or endurance.

Becoming Lazy In The Gym

There are some people who see an advert for a bulking supplement and immediately whip out their credit card because they think that it will act as a shortcut to success.

However regardless of which particular bulking supplement you use, it is important to remember that many of these are designed to increase strength and performance to help you hit new heights in the gym, and won’t work on their own if you start skipping workouts and start to ease off in your training.

You should still be looking to push yourself in the gym as much as possible in order to achieve your desired results.

Over-training

Whilst cutting down on your strength training workouts can have a negative impact on your results, over-training can have a similar effect. Bulking supplements may well give you a lot more power, but if you start training every single day and keep trying to break your personal bests for every exercise, you are in danger of getting injured and suffering from burnout.

So it is still important to have one or two rest days every week whilst taking any kind of bulking supplement in order to allow your muscles to rest and recuperate.

Taking Supplements At The Wrong Time

The final mistake people make is that they will buy a supplement that has proven to be very effective for many people, such as this Decaduro bulking supplement, for example, or this Trenorol supplement (pictured above), and fail to take them as directed.

Each of these supplements is designed to be taken 45 minutes before your workouts to achieve optimum results, and so they may not produce the same kind of results if taken after your workouts or at different times of the day, and the same applies to many other supplements as well.

Closing Comments

The point is that bulking supplements are capable of increasing strength and powering up your workouts to speed up the whole bulking and muscle-building process, but you still need to take them as directed and take control of your diet and exercise program.

People are quick to label these products as a complete waste of money, but most of the time the reason why these people failed to achieve any noticeable gains is because they made some of the critical mistakes highlighted above. So you should try not to make some of the same mistakes yourself if you want to get the most out of these supplements.
